Polish & Clean

With wear, all precious metals endure scratches that dull them down. Hand cream and beauty products, the dirt of everyday life and even the natural oils of the skin can collect behind gemstones and make them appear dull and flat. A polish and clean is the most cost effective way to have that new jewellery feeling again.

Repair

Over time and with wear all jewellery becomes tired and needs maintenance. Gemstones that have been chipped or become frosted with abrasion can be re-polished. Claws that have been broken or come away from their gemstone and now scratch or catch on clothing can be repaired. We have decades of experience bringing old pieces back to life.

Refashioning

Not all jewellery is classic. Some pieces do not age quite so well. They begin to feel dated and so end up sitting unworn in a jewellery box or drawer somewhere. Yet, they can be repurposed. We work a lot with individuals who have jewellery like this. Often it was inherited from a relative and is not in a style that they would now wear. We can help you find a style you would wear. Honour the past by wearing them, honour yourself with a new design.

Buy & Trade

We buy antique and second-hand pieces of jewellery. If you have something to sell or perhaps to trade in part exchange against having a new piece made, we would be happy to consider it.

Valuations

It can be necessary to value items of jewellery from time to time. This can be for insurance purposes, for probate or to help inform a decision on what to do with it If a written valuation is needed there is a charge. We charge by the hour and the amount of time it takes to do this work varies widely based on the items being valued so quotation is on an individual basis.

I owned a diamond ring which I hadn’t worn for years. It consisted of three lovely diamonds in a fairly boring setting and I took it along to Geoff to chat about redesign possibilities. I wanted something that would be worn every day - so therefore nothing too delicate nor fancy - and which also reflected the type of jewellery I prefer to wear. Geoff was an absolute guiding light in terms of design ideas and knowledge, he kept me updated throughout the whole process, and was very patient, (I changed my mind a few times…..). In actual fact, from start to finish, he made the whole experience fun and refreshingly enjoyable, and thanks to him, I now own, and wear every day, a fabulous ring that I absolutely adore: and it couldn’t be more ‘me’ if it tried!
