"Jade" is a general term for two distinct but similar-looking gemstones: nephrite and jadeite, both prized for their durability, beauty, and cultural significance, often used in jewellery, ornaments, and carvings. Enormously prized originally in China, that appreciation has now spread around the globe, and rightly so.
